Waterslides and Lava

We were staying right next to the Grand Wailea Resort that has lots of little water slides connecting multiple pools. We were able to get access to the pools and went everyday. Ellen loved having us take her down the slides!

Notice how Jeff was barely able to keep his own head above the water on that last one!

Water slides in action

Jeff got this huge cheeseburger on the night we went out to eat. (Notice his new Hawaiian shirt).

We drove 20 minutes down to the end of the island that is still just one big lava flow from about 200 years ago.

  2. That's really tough luck that you had to go on all those cool slides so often. Poor you! :) Sounds like your trip was so fun-- what a family vacation!! What was the occasion? Family reunion?

  4. Amber, we try to get our whole family together once a year. It's usually just in Oregon, but this year my parents were extra generous--what a treat!

  8. AMAZING! We keep trying to talk my parents into doing a trip like this. If everyone would quit having so many babies (or be a little more flexible about taking them places), maybe we could. Glad you had so much fun.
