My dad, Melissa, and I went on an outrigger canoe ride one morning. We saw a manna ray and a few turtles. It was fun to be out on the water.
We enjoyed walking along the path that is next to the beach throughout Wailea.
With such a large group, we ate in for most of our meals. Ellen really enjoyed her lasagna.
We rented snorkel gear for the week and Jeff went almost every morning. We went together a few times and the last morning, we went where I had seen turtles on the outrigger canoe hoping to see some ourselves. Thankfully, we were able to fulfill Jeff's dream of swimming with turtles. We saw 5 in about 30 minutes. Three were just sitting on the ocean floor about 10 feet away, one came up for air about 8 feet away from us and then hid in some rocks, but one turtle hung out with us for a while. He went to the surface for air 4 times and in between just swam around about 6 feet from us. It was very cool! We also saw lots of cool fish and coral. If only we had an underwater camera...
