As a Christmas and birthday present, my parents got me a Bernina sewing machine! I finally went and bought it this week! We didn't have anywhere to put it in our apartment--our kitchen table is small and it has to be clear everyday so there is room for me to tutor on it--and if I had to set it up every time to only be able to work on things for an hour, I never would!
Thankfully we found this sewing table (on Craigslist, of course) that fits in the one small remaining area of open wall space in the whole apartment. The top does open up to be twice the size and hopefully I can utilize that in a future home. For now, it is perfect! Now I just need to decide which project to start on first!

okay congrats on receiving the best Christmas/birthday present ever. You also got the best sewing machine in the business. I LOVE Bernina's and when ever anyone asks me what machine to get I ALWAYS recommend a Bernina. Congratulations.

ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome. I hear that Berninas are great. If/when I need a new sewing machine I'm definitely checking out the Berninas. Mine right now is an old metal Singer sewing machine that works great for it's age. It was my grandma's old machine from the late 1950s! She took such good care of it and I'm afraid I'm not going to give it the love and care that it needs. :) It works great for now, though.

ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat. I got a Bernina like 5 years ago and it's in it's box in the closet! I have no where to use it!! I have to unload it and use the kitchen table and hurry and finish my project in the same day and then pack it back up and put it away. Some day I'll have a craft/sewing room, don't I wish!!
