Ellen and I attended our first Pinewood Derby to watch Jeff race his pencil car.

As you can see, this was an extreme Pinewood Derby. The track started high up on the stage and all the way down to the floor. Yes, someone had to get on a ladder to reach the top.
I love the derby track. Do you have a picture of the entire track? I would like to duplecate it.
