We are excited to announce that we have purchased a home! We got the keys tonight and we are moving in on Saturday. It has 3 bedrooms, 1800 square feet, and is located in a nice condo complex in a beautiful part of south Orange County.
This is the front of our new place.
We are so excited to have more space, a garage, our own laundry, and a place to call our own.
It is about 15 miles south of where we live now, but Jeff's commute to work will be about the same (just in the other direction). This has all happened very quickly. We just put in our offer 28 days ago.
Some of you know that we have been looking to buy a home/condo for over a year. We have looked at dozens of properties in lots of different areas, put offers on five other properties, and had each of them not work out. Jeff has put countless hours into scouring MLS websites looking for possible properties. Home/condo prices fell significantly before we started looking and we have watched them fall a little bit more since we started to look. Finally, the Lord opened the right door and we were able to get an amazing condo at a great price. We're really glad all those other opportunities didn't work out. :)

I am so excited for your family! The place looks gorgeous and sounds roomy, I only wish it were in T4's ward boundaries so we could still see you guys every Sunday. Congrats and enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHey congrats!! WE just bought a home too! It took a little longer than you guys, and we have to gut the house and redo a lot, but it was a great price and will be totally worth it once it's all done.
