We drove up to Utah at the beginning of July to spend time with Jeff's immediate and extended family. We had a great trip! We made the drive up there in one day and the girls did amazingly well during the long drive...thanks to the DVD player and unlimited Dora and Little Einsteins. We stayed the first night with Jeff's grandma in Orem.
Ellen had fun playing with her in the morning.

We spent a few hours at Temple Square on our first day. Both girls were enthralled with the Christus statue and excited to see the temple.

We spent some time at the Museum of Church History which has an awesome kids area. Here are the girls exploring Nephi's boat.

We went to Jeff's grandparent's house so the girls could nap. Jeff's parents were there as well.

Rachel got to spend some time doing her favorite thing--playing in the car.

That evening, we joined Jeff's parents, grandparents, and sister-in-law for dinner before heading back to Utah County.
We had a chance to visit BYU campus while we were in town. It was fun to buy the girls BYU shirts in the bookstore and to look at the Tanner Building that has had an addition since the last time we were on campus. Both girls loved seeing the Y on the mountain. In fact, the first letter that Rachel consistently recognized correctly was Y!

That picture of Rachel in the car struck me as looking so much like you that I had flashbacks to my own childhood! You look just like my first best friend did 25+ years ago.
ReplyDeleteI mean *she* looks just like my first best friend did. See how confused I am between her and you? :)
